Step 1: Click HERE to Sign up to be a BH-JSL Volunteer

Types of Volunteers:

1. For individuals between 16 years and older, become certified as an American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI) or YMCA Swim Instructor.
2. For individuals 13 years and older, serve as a Swim Aide and assist a certified instructor to teach lessons.
3. For individuals 18 years and older, serve as a Dry Deck Volunteer and aid in out-of-the-water aspects of the classes.

How do I Become a Certified Swim Instructor? 

WSI Class Offering: City of Charlottesville will hold classes. BH-JSL will cover costs for one WSI for each Make a Splash pool.
